Soda Blasting
After this local North Rensselaer county home was affected by a fire, SERVPRO of North Rensselaer/South Washington Counties used this special techniques, called soda blasting to help clean and remove the soot from this charred wood. Soda blasting is the process of applying sodium baicarbonate, commonly known as baking soda to an affected surface using compressed air. The advantage of using baking soda, as opposed to other materials such as sand, crushed walnut shells, coal slag, or any other abrasive, is that it's environmentally safe, less aggressive, relatively affordable, and easily rinsed away with water. If your home or business suffers from fire damage call SERVPRO of North Rensselaer/South Washington Counties at (518)677-3444 and we can help make it "Like it never even happened."
