Personal Protective Equipment

SERVPRO of North Rensselaer/South Washington Counties uses OSHA approved PPE or personal protective equipment. This equipment is needed to ensure our trained professionals are protected against hazardous materials at mold and sewage and/or biohazard jobs. There are 3 parts that make up their full suits, the suit/gloves, the respirator, and the goggles. The suit and gloves help eliminate contact to the skin or clothing. These are one time use only and should be disposed after use, to avoid cross contamination. The respirator protects our workers lungs and protects them from inhaling unsafe contaminates as they may become airborne during cleanup. This could include mold spores, dust particles, or other toxic particles that may be encountered during the remediation process. Properly fitting goggles are also important to protect our workers eyes from the hazardous materials. Our PPE or personal protective equipment at SERVPRO of North Rensselaer/South Washington Counties is up to OSHA standards and protects our workers from contact with hazardous materials.
