The SERVPRO process:
When working with insurance companies SERVPRO of North Rensselaer and South Washington Counties follows several requirements and regulations to make sure everything runs smoothly. In any disaster, we get on site, and inspect the causes of loss, board up any broken windows, or walls that are unstable. Once stabilization is complete, we the start the estimate process, this involves creating a sketched diagram of the affected home or business. We then create a scope of the job stating what needs to be done in the affected areas. We do our very best to work with customer by notifying them of any and all status updates of the restoration process as it moves along. We also strive to work with the insurance companies and following their guidelines and expectations too. Therefore, we do our best as the go between when it comes to getting approvals, being diligent when taking notes, and keeping the costs at a rate that both the customer and insurance companies are in agreeance with.
Our Customer’s Process:
- Contact your insurance agent or company directly to file a claim with your insurance company as soon as possible. This is the very first step to hurry the process along. If you are unsure as to if you should file a claim, CALL US 518-677-3444
- Submit Proof of the Loss by having a phone conversation with you assigned adjuster to your claim. In most cases your insurance company will send a field Adjuster out to your home to inspect your loss. They will then update the claim and let you know if you have confirmed coverage or not on your loss.
- Be organized. There is nothing worse than not knowing, we recommend keeping good communication records, invoices, receipts and permits filed in a safe place. This way if proof is needed, it is there at your fingertips.
